The Honourable Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, Malaysian Plantation Industries & Commodities Minister officiates on September 18 2012 the inaugural Malaysia-Romania Palm Oil Trade Fair and Seminar (POTS) organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), supported by Bucharest Chamber Of Commerce And Industry. This event is organised with the objective of developing and optimising business opportunities for Malaysian palm oil in Eastern Europe and the neighbouring CIS countries.
Themed Romania & Malaysia: A Smart Partnership Towards Meeting Oils and Fats Demand, POTS Romania aims to enhance Malaysian palm oil’s presence and participation in the sizeable liquid market segment in Romania. Romania is also seen as a potential gateway for the Malaysian palm oil to countries such as Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine.
Speakers at the seminar are prominent Malaysian and Romanian industry captains and international experts from Europe. The papers cover topics on oils and fats ranging from market outlook and trade to palm oil applications and nutrition.
