Tomorrow, February 17th 2011, Carrefour will open its 33rd supermarket in the country, at Mondial Shopping Center from Târgovişte, situated on Tricolor Street, no. 2, Dâmboviţa County.
Carrefour wants to be closer to its customers, launching his expansion in Târgovişte with this second convenience store, after the first one being opened in December 2010 at Pavcom Shopping Center.
The new Carrefour Market is situated in downtown area, opposite the City Prefecture, operating on a selling area of approximately 600 square meters, following the same marketing strategy, „low prices, everyday”. The store will be opened Monday to Saturday between 08:00 and 22:00 and Sunday between 08:00 and 18:00.
The business model is focusing on a fange of about 5700 products and offers its own brand which includes over 1000 articles at the same price as Carrefour hypermarket (a similar quality being at least 20% cheaper compared to national brands).
Carrefour Group is Europe’s largest retailer and the second worldwide. Is present in 32 countries all over the world with more than 15 500 stores, employing more than 475 000 people. In Romania, Carrefour Group includes 33 supermarkets and 23 hypermarkets.
