PROFI, the retailer that owns the biggest national coverage and the most stores in Romania, opened three new stores in April 2025, reaching 1781 stores at a national level.

Retail – Carrefour

Carrefour Romania started the season of Romanian fruits and vegetables with products from the „Our garden” program, in which takes part over 370 local producers.

Ursus Breweries, part of Asahi Europe & International and leader of the beer market in Romania, named Dan Timohi as General Manager for Romania, starting on the 1st of July 2025.

Starting on the 1st of July 2025, HEINEKEN Romania will have a new General Manager. Thibaut Boidin, who has held this role since September 2023, will take over an important role in HEINEKEN Group, as General Manager and CEO of Nigerian Breweries Plc. Boris Miloushev is joining the HEINEKEN Romania team from its current position of General Manager of HEINEKEN/SCC Portugal, bringing a big expertise in the beer category of different markets all over the world.

Food Service

The new Popeyes restaurant in Bucharest opened in the food-court zone of Mega Mall.

According to Glovo, Romania is in first place in Southeastern Europe and in the 4th place at the global level in the request for burgers.
