retailRetail – Kaufland

Kaufland Romania expanded its presence at the national level and opened the 25th store in Bucharest, reaching 192 hypermarkets at the national level.

Kaufland maintained its position at the top of the biggest companies in Romania, based on the market share, and continued to be one of the most important private employers, according to the study of the social-economic impact of the company for 2024, made with the support of KPMG.

Retail – Auchan

Until the 15th of July, Auchan Romania hosts the 16th edition of Beer Fair – an emblematic commercial event in Romania and the biggest beer fair in the local market.

Sphera Franchise Group, the leader of the foodservice market in Romania, continued the national expansion strategy by opening a new KFC restaurant in the Retail Park.

E-commerce

eMAG group made in the fiscal year that ended in March 2025 a consolidated market share of 11.2 billion lei, an increase of 12% from last year.

Wolt, the technology company known for its local commerce platform, announced the results of the first month of activity in Romania.

The eMAG Genius subscription steps forward and became available for five online apps, after 5 years in which over 1 million Romanians integrated it into their shopping routine.
