These are the main moves from romanian food retail, from the last two weeks:
BILLA Romania opened its first store in Sebes and the first of this year, bringing the national network to 80 supermarkets.
Mega Image opened two Shop&Go banner stores in Bucharest, the last from march. Mega Image retailer has a total of 302 stores in Romania (168 Mega Image stores, 133 Shop & Go stores and 1 store under the concept AB Cool Food) and is leader of romanian food retail, by number of stores.
Auchan has opened the first store in Deva, the 16th real remodeled store, after Auchan aquisition from Metro Group. It remains only 4 real stores who will be remodeled this year from a total of 20 stores.
Real estate investor Immochan – the real estate division of Auchan Group – will introduce for the first time in Romania the shopping resort concept, in Coresi Brasov project. Immochan plans to open the first phase of the Coresi mixed project in Romania’s central city of Brasov in the first quarter of 2015.
