Mega Image continued its development and expansion strategy on new territories by opening 23 stores from the beginning of the year until present in different zones of the country.

Kaufland Romania opened on 6th of June the 4th store from Cluj-Napoca and reached 126 stores at national level. The retailer opened in Romania a new concept of hypermarket, implemented in Bucharest store from str. Colentina no. 6, that was refurbished completely. Also, the retailer reopened the store in Vatra Dornei, the only hypermarket in town, with a new concept, modernised and extended.

In June, Lidl Tour celebrated 3 years from the launch in Romania and estimated that will maintain the growth rhythm of the fiscal value of over 60%, reported to the results registered last year. Lidl continued the expansion process in Romania by opening a new store in Bucharest, reaching 252 stores.

Farmec, the biggest romanian cosmetics producer, officially launched the franchise system for Gerovital stores.

”Raising Romania BIO”, the first program on the long term launched by Carrefour, dedicated to support romanian farmers who want to get on BIO agriculture, was presented at an event as part of National Agriculture and Rural Development BIO Program. Carrefour Romania celebrated 18 years from the opening of the first hypermarket in Romania.

Auchan Retail Romania opened a new MyAuchan proximity store in Bucharest, on Banu Manta street, no. 1 and a new store on Alexandriei Blvd.

The Penny Market store network extended with a new unit in Ploiesti, Prahova district, reaching 239 stores in Romania.
