IMG-1667PROFI retailer will opens in Bucharest the first store in the world built entirely of ice, PROFI Ice store. The inauguration will be Friday, december 6, in the presence of CEO Profi, Pawel Musial. The project is supported by the Polish Embassy and the Municipality of Bucharest.

PROFI closed last week with four new stores in Ramnicu Sarat, Huedin, Cluj and Botosani, beginning a long-term partnership with Wini Imobili, a major real-estate company and inaugurating the first of Pita’ stores acquired earlier this year. Thus, the network grows to count 197 units.

cora Romania has launched coraDrive.ro, a click and collect service, first an romanian market. In the next year cora will implement also the delivery services.

An online shopping guide for 2 brand new online stores: carrefour-online.ro and coraDrive.ro.

Two more remodeled stores under Auchan City brand opened in Sibiu and Satu Mare. The remodeling will continue after acquisition of 20 real hypermarkets from Metro Group.

Kaufland opened a new store in Bucharest, the 6 th store from Bucharest and the 89 th store from Romania.

REWE Romania opened the 141 Penny Market store in Romania.

Metro Cash & Carry is the most visible retailer from Romania, in mediaTRUST top, with 498 Black Friday ads, followed by Flanco, with 458 ads. Carrefour fills the seventh place in the classification, with 245 ads during the interval November 1 – December 2, 2013.
