retailRetail – PROFI

The number of partner stores reached to be equal with the integrated Profi stores with signing the contract for the 800th partner Profi store.

Retail – Lidl

Lidl Romania created over 100 new jobs, offering new opportunities for the people who want to activate in the retail industry, at the central deposit from Fundeni, Calarasi district.

Lidl Romania opened two new stores in Giurgiu and Apahida, Cluj district, on 9th of June, and on 23rd of June opened three new stores in Bucharest, Bucov and in Medias, reaching a national network of 333 stores.

Retail – PENNY

PENNY, one of the most active retailers in Romania, continued its expansion plan by opening a new store in Alba Iulia and one store in Slobozia.

Retail – Selgros Cash & carry

Selgros Cash & Carry started the registration for the 12th edition of Chefs Arena competition, the most impressive competition designed for professional chefs, that offer the chance to show their creativity and to duel for a place on the podium of Romanian gastronomy.

Retail – Auchan

Auchan Retail Romania continued the process of digitizing it stores and introduced Scan&Go, a self-scan service for clients, available through Auchan app.

Between 22nd of June and 19th of July, Auchan Romania organized the 13th edition of Beer Fair, the biggest beer fair on the local market and one of the emblematic events of the company.

Retail – Kaufland

Andreea Cioromela took over, starting with June 2022, the role of Administrator of Kaufland Romania, after in May she was promoted as Deputy General Manager of the company, being responsible with managing the Real Estates department.

Kaufland consolidated its position on the top companies in Romania based on the market share and remained one of the biggest private employers, based on the social-economic impact study made by KPMG.

Retail – Carrefour

Carrefour Romania and FARA Foundation are searching for improving the quality of life of children and teens with disabilities through the project „Carrefour Academy. Health, education and therapy for children and teens with disabilities”.

Carrefour Romania continued the expansion of Supeco network by opening a new store in Slobozia, in the new commercial center Park Plaza, reaching a national network of 27 stores of the discounter.

Retail – other retailers

Agroland Business System (BVB: AG), Romanian entrepreneurial group of retail, agriculture and food, that owns the biggest network of agriculture stores in Romania, signed a partnership with Mega Image to deliver eggs for consume in the retailer’s stores from Bucharest.

Lagardère Travel Retail, leader on the market of retail for travelers, extended the network SO!COFFEE with 5 new coffee shops.

FMCG

Nestlé, the biggest company of food products and beverages in the world, adapted for the first time in Romania, the nutrition guides NutriPortia and VeggiePortia in Braille language, created to help people with visual impairments to prepare alone nutritional and healthy balanced meals. Nestlé launched on the market in Romania the brand NESVITA, a snack made of oats and fiber, vitamins and minerals.

Serpico Trading added DEL MONTE in its portfolio of global brands and started a new strategic partnership.

The representatives of beverages producers and sellers, shareholders within the company RetuRO Sistem Garantie Returnare S.A, showed theirs concern on the project for modifying the Government Decision no. 1074/2021 that regulates the system of guarantee-returning, put up for public debate by the authorities.

Tuborg Romania launched on the local market Carlsberg LUMA beer, an extension of the international brand Carlsberg.

Kozel, the new brand of beer from Ursus Breweries, has been launched officially on the market in Romania.

Food Service

Glovo, one of the most important online platforms that intermediate quick deliveries of products, named Iustinian Belghir as General Manager in Romania and and opened in Bucharest the regional office for South-Eastern Europe, the biggest region, in U•Center project, situated at Tineretului.

Sphera Franchise Group, the owner of the company that operates in franchise system the brand Pizza Hut in Romania, expanded the Express restaurants, by opening a new unit in Targu Jiu, Gorj district.

Tazz, the local platform of quick delivery, and Radio Guerrilla, one of the most known radio stations in Romania, launched a new virtual brand with Mexican gastronomic specific.

E-commerce

After 5 years of collaboration and presence on the e-commerce market in Romania, Carrefour and Bringo celebrated 5 millions orders in app.

On 8th of June 2022 took place the event „Easybox effect” – the solution of future courier.

Genius subscription moved on the next level and became available for four e-commerce apps: eMAG, Tazz, FashionDays and Freshful.

Services

Revolut, the super financial app with over 18 millions clients in the world of which 1,7 millions clients in Romania, and Bringo, an app specialized in online shopping and home delivery, announced a partnership with to offer a new advantage to the Romanian clients.

g7 Marketing, a key player in Romanian industry of retail marketing, announced the affiliation to WaveCrest Group, the shopper experience & marketing leader agency in Scandinavia.

Softlead, the only B2B marketplace platform that helps companies to choose the right software app based on digital DNA, launched a study that shows the appetite of production companies in Romania for IT acquisitions.

Rottaprint, the biggest flexographic typographic producing self-adhesive labels and flexible packages in Romania, finished the implementation of a project in which were invested in the last three years over 3.7 millions euro in technologies and equipment for sustainable production of the products from portfolio.

CTP Group, the biggest owner, developer and administrator of industrial and logistics spaces in Continental Europe, delivered recently to its tenants over 100.000 sqm of spaces (95% of them are rented) in CTPark Bucharest North, being under development and positioned as a new logistics hub for the e-commerce market in Romania.
