Lidl continued the investment in Romania by opening its first store in Baicoi, Prahova district, on 28th of January.
Lidl consolidated its position as top employer at national level and, for the fifth year, obtained the certification Top Employer, granted by the Top Employers institute from Netherlands.

Mega Image finished 2020 with 89 stores opened at national level, reaching a total of 854 stores.
Retail – PENNY
PENNY opened the first two stores in 2021: one in Bucharest and one in Reghin, Mures district.
The Romanian Football Federation signed a new sponsorship contract with PENNY, part of REWE Group German company.
Glovo, the platform of quick delivery, added PENNY in the app in Bucharest and Oradea and offered to the clients all the products from PENNY stores.

The teams of Kaufland Romania started the vaccination against COVID-19, out of a desire to protect themselves and to take care of their health and others.
