Continuing its engagement to invest in communities where it develops its activity, Lidl Romania got involved for the third year consecutively in renovating Bánffy castle in Bontida.
Lidl continued the investment in Romania by opening a new store in Arad, on 9th of September 2021, a new store in Curtea de Arges on 16th of September, a new store in Brasov on 23rd of September 2021, an three new stores in Baia Mare, Sacele and Rosiorii de Vede on 30th of September.
With the support of its clients, Lidl Romania contributed for the fifth year consecutively at the quality of the education for the children from vulnerable environments, through a donation of 1.300.000 lei to Teach for Romania.

PENNY discounter continued the expansion plan in Romania by opening four new stores: one in Baile Herculane, Caras Severin district, one in Bolintin Deal, Giurgiu district, one in Sabaoani, Neamt district, and one in Buzau.
PENNY Romania and the REWE Group Supervisory Council contributed with 120.000 euro at creating the first itinerant center for the recovery of children with disabilities in Delta Dunarii.

Carrefour Romania relaunched the Payment with PET in 20 hypermarkets in the country, a campaign carried out in partnership with the leader of the local market of beverages, Coca-Cola HBC Romania.
Carrefour Romania, as part of its global strategy Act for Food, accelerated the steps to the transition to a healthier food, inviting 28 local and international partners at Food Transition Pact for concrete actions in clients benefits.
The program Opening Romanian Wine, launched by Carrefour Romania, represented one of the main attractions of the international fair RO Wine, especially because of the selection of Romanian labels, available exclusively on the retailer’s shelves, that impressed all the participants.

In the period 22nd of September – 5th of October 2021, Auchan hypermarkets host the 13th edition of the Wines Fair, events that reunites at the shelves over 330 wine products selected carefully, from which over 85% are coming from Romanian wineries.
